Pigtails of Apocalypse

We just cannot help it. Scarlet woman … err … pigtailed girl of the end times is just too persistent a symbol to just ignore it, so we are obliged to give it a one more glance. This is especially the case if we are aware that climate apocalypse cult genuinely infected the better part of European and, apparently, American intellectual elite. And, let us note, that we spell “elite” without ironic qualification; a number of supremely intelligent people had found themselves washed away in the global sanity leak. Why is this so and what does ersatz religion of climate doom really supplement for our contemporaries; moreover, how it logically ends up in posthumanism and why it just could spell doom for the scientific paradigm of modernity are some of the questions we address in this podcast.

Running on Empty: Nihilism of Contemporary Workplace

A perennial issue dealt with by KT Department of Metaphysics, Nihilism and Melancholia is what we dubbed the “dissolution of the past”. This process runs in the background of the diverse subjects and unifies the social ills we address every now and then. It can also – and quite precisely – be pinpointed as the dissolution of the roots in all facets of human life. In this podcast we’ll talk about one aspect of daily life which discloses it for the eyes of more or less everybody endowed with even modest sense of normalcy: a changing pattern of human work and its ever increasing instability pointing to the the total dissolution of what once were professions or vocations into a quagmire of increasingly abstract “jobs” that one is expected to change on yearly or even monthly basis.

Homosexuality and Identitarian Politics

Although we more than once expressed our views on homosexuality and ever present “mainstreaming” of it and other forms of sexuality gone awry, it was always in the context of other, more interesting subjects. Hereby, we put homosexuality into focus as a phenomenon of severe ontological deviation, based on the urge for identity and shunning of otherness; a  fundamental attitude of a man seeking escape from the different and unknown, yet sold to the masses as the precise opposite: a manifestation of freedom and experiment in experiencing difference.

In a word: contemporary image of homosexuality is a pure inversion, which is quite easy to demonstrate in less than half an hour talk.

The Lowest Common God

When discussing the roots of Communism and of what is called non- or semi-communist Left – which nevertheless keeps some latent causal relation to dialectical materialism – one crucial question usually gets passed over in silence. Namely, is there a single unique ruling principle to this systematical attempt to absorb the world in thought and, if yes, what exactly is it?

Luminar Podcast: Michel Houellebecq’s Itch

Taming the KGB accents one more time, Deirdre hosts another Luminar Podcast with Mihai and me:

“on the way from David Icke to Michel Houellebecq we chat about consciousness, knowledge, ego, the dark night of the soul, smashing the idol of the self, ambition or lack thereof, what is meaningful work, the willing participation of the people in their own control, comparisons between Communism and the European Union, the rush among the masses towards progressiveness and cutting roots, Croatia, Romania and Ireland, the role of intellectuals, James Joyce’s depiction of the odyssey in modernity and other writers like him, and finally onto Houellebecq’s unscratchable itch.”

Luminar Podcast: Communal Wombs

In a new episode of Luminar Podcast, Deidre informs us about wonderful world of surrogacy and in quite off hand fashion demonstrates once again that feminism, especially in the hands of – oh, the irony – “merciless millenials” is the one aspect of posthumanism especially concerned with the destruction of women.

Suffer Little Autistics: Ersatz Religions and the Figure of the Holy Fool

Future is certain – the end is near. Or so says the child prophet of vogue apocalyptic cult named “Extinction Rebellion”. In this video we’ll point out some deeper implications of promoting a child “on the autistic spectrum” as an embodiment of wisdom and political acumen. We focus on the one of The Guardian articles praising the virtues of holy fool de jour, Greta Thunberg, and in the process inadvertently exposing more than the tip of the iceberg of lunacy apparently holding sway on both media and masses in Western Europe.
