Kali Tribune presents the first in the series of podcasts on the vague subject of Political Correctness. In this episode, yours truly defines PC as a moralist offshoot of metaphysical doctrine of nominalism and points out that it is more intrinsic to postmodern worldview than most people think, and that there's really nothing funny about it. Moreover, the conclusion is that it's implications are bound to bear deadly consequences in the future.
So that’s 21th century, and it only just begun. The century of apologizes and shame, deprived of conscience; century of the religion of Political Correctness, the deification of Asshole as such; century as the summit of freedom from being judged and the freedom of passing judgments on him who dares being judgmental, therefore endowed with discerning reason. The century of anal and oral freedoms and duties; bent-over century; aborted century; century like bad argument for tedious discussion.
As the centuries go, not much of a century.
Symbols of public discourse in this world are bereft of content so their meanings can always be reversed into opposites. Those who are so naive, or vain, to see true faces in them are accepting the role in a theatre of shadows generated by media lanterna magica. It’s hard to blame them, because isn’t it the ultimate dream come true for every philistine, even if he wears a Che Guevarra T-shirt, to act out most grievous of moral dilemmas as shadowplay on the wall of the dimly lit living room?
